While competing for Team USA, HES faculty Renee Harrington and Sally Almekinders both placed at the World ITU championships in Denmark this month. Renee competed in the Olympic distance Dualthlon, placing 8th overall and 4th for USA. Additionally, Renee’s picture is being used on the World ITU website, and in their press release. In her age group, Sally placed 6th in the Aquathlon and 8th in the Sprint distance Duathlon.

Dr. Kari Lewis, Teaching Assistant Professor in Health and Exercise Studies, welcomed 30 middle school students from Johnston and Wake County as part of the TRIO Program at NC State this summer.
