The recipient of the 2016-2017 Frank Ormond Scholarship is Lucas Jones. Lucas is studying Business Marketing with a minor in Outdoor Leadership. Lucas currently serves as the Vice President of NC State’s Presbyterian Campus Ministry, where he uses the skills he has developed in the outdoor leadership classes to be actively involved in local service projects and campus activities. Lucas says, “I’m thankful for the HESO classes I’ve taken for helping me discern how I can combine my passion and love for ministry, the practical skills I have in business, with my draw to the outdoors.” Lucas’s campus involvement, his academic record, and his commitment to the Outdoor Leadership Minor, make him a worthy recipient for this year’s scholarship award. Congratulations, Lucas!
